God’s New Graces Every Morning
Psalm 119:65–72 – TETH
65 You have dealt well with Your servant, O Lord, according to Your word.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe Your commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word.
68 You are good, and do good; teach me Your statutes.
69 The proud have forged a lie against me, but I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart.
70 Their heart is as fat as grease, but I delight in Your law.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes.
72 The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of coins of gold and silver.
Application:
God is consistent! His Word applies to every creature on earth. None can say, “God has not seen me, so He does not know me.” As Psalm 139:8 declares:
“If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.”
God is our instructor, and His Word is truth. Where else shall we turn? Our lives are full of mistakes—many repeated time and again—but God’s silver lining is the lessons we learn. Even if His discipline is sharp, its value is eternal.
God is orchestrating every bump along the road for our benefit (Rom. 8:28–29). Let not our hearts accuse our heavenly Father—for His love never ends.
“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul.” —Psalm 19:7
We must trust the Lord in all seasons, even when things don’t make sense. God has shown us right from wrong, but we must still pursue righteousness with our whole hearts. “Seek the Lord while He may be found” (Isaiah 55:6), lest our hearts grow cold.
Ministry Highlights
We’ve been consistently meeting with individuals seeking God’s wisdom—averaging 30–40 hours each month in conversation and counsel, with twice that much time spent preparing, following up, and researching biblical truth to share with them.
We’re also continuing to educate ourselves to better serve. We’re currently in another 4-week Marriage Workshopwith Lowcountry Biblical Counseling – Tim Bryant. We deeply believe in learning from those who have gone before us.
We also look forward to participating again in the Annual ACBC Conference via Zoom, which is always refreshing and full of practical wisdom. We can’t wait for October!
Additionally, we’re nearing completion of Module 1 of our Counselor Training, with three more modules to go. It’s been a joy to mentor two eager students—even before we fully launched the program. We’re investing in this area and praying for growth, as the Lord leads. Praise the Lord!
Prayer Requests
Please join us in praying for the following needs:
Office Resources & Copy Machine
We are looking for a used copy machine to help with producing paperwork for counselees (what we call “Hope Work”), learning articles, and materials for our School of Counseling, which we hope to expand.Spreading the Word
We continue to share through Facebook and newsletters, but we know word of mouth is most effective. If you know someone in need of biblical counsel, please share about our ministry. Because of faithful supporters, we are able to offer “counsel without cost.”
We believe God's wisdom is the best wisdom—and we want to help others connect with His heart.
Physical Trials & Aging
Please pray for many of our friends experiencing serious physical challenges. We’ve joined prayer groups and see the enemy working to discourage and confuse—especially as bodies age and health declines. Pray for healing, strength, and grace for each one to finish well. Also pray for families facing various difficult trials.Marriages in Crisis
Please pray for wisdom as we walk alongside couples facing marriage struggles. Pray that they would desire the changes God wants to bring and that they would see hope and victory in the days ahead. Pray also for hearts yielded to the Lord.
Final Reflections & Giving Info
It’s hard to believe we just stepped out into this ministry in February 2024—and by God’s grace, we’re still moving forward! God is faithfully providing what we need, and we trust Him for all that lies ahead.
